How to make your mornings better?

For many of us, mornings are tough.

Waking up early is HARD! Really HARDDDD!

In fact, it's the biggest struggle of the day for most.

For people who live alone, they usually set up multiple alarms.

So, here are a few automation applets to help make your mornings better:

1. Phone call based alarm

https://ifttt.com/applets/wnR8UzqX-phone-voice-call-alarm-international-works-on-both-android-and-ios-devices.

This automation gives your mobile a VOIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) call at the time you set for the days you want.
The logic behind this is that we attend calls but ignore alarms while sleeping.

2. Phone call-based weather update -

https://ifttt.com/applets/vuGvhL3k-phone-call-based-weather-update-for-the-day.

This automation gives your mobile a VOIP call and lets you know the weather for the day.

3. Take out trash reminder

https://ifttt.com/applets/cbBivMpf-take-out-trash-reminder.

We usually clear our trash on a schedule.
I do it every other day, my mom would want it to be cleaned daily.

Well, it depends on your preference. when you take it out.
So this automation lets you customise when you want to get reminders in the week to take out your trash.

Trust me, even though I do it daily, I still forget it some days.

4. Turn On & Off your Wifi based on your location -

The amount of battery you have left on your mobile is important these days.

An easy way to conserve it is by managing your Wifi.

Here are 4 recipes/applets on IFTTT to switch On and Off your Wifi at home and office based on your movement/real-time location.

5. Mute/Unmute your phone automatically

Most offices have a policy of muting your mobile.
In some offices it is mandatory.

And in some cases, it's an unspoken rule.

So here are two IFTTT applets to automatically do this for you.

6. Track work hours at the office

One of the most common problems we face is the number of hours we spend at the office. And how all our bosses seem to ignore it.

It's difficult to track the hours.
Especially, when we come in late in the mornings.

And usually, we forget our in times to plan the time at which we have to leave.

So, here is a simple applet to track work hours - https://ifttt.com/applets/JU2H59Ee-track-working-hours

Here is a slightly complex applet for the same purpose- https://ifttt.com/applets/xKRgzDcp-office-entry-pack-reach-sms-turn-on-wifi-lower-ringer-volume

This also sends out an SMS to the phone number you want when you enter the office. It also lowers the ringer volume and turns on the WiFi. I call this as the Office Entry Pack.

Similarly, here is an Office Exit Applet - https://ifttt.com/applets/Mzg729Tr-office-exit-pack-start-sms-turn-off-wifi-increase-ringer-volume

This increases the ringer volume, turns off wifi and sends SMS to the number you gave, that you have started from office.

Please note to use the country code when entering the number you want to send SMS to.

Hope these applets are helpful and save a bunch of your time.

I know these are not massive things. But they are good to have when you are striving hard to survive in a tough world.

And in these troubled times maybe also help get some peace of mind.
